Epic Mickey – Blot Contrivance
Part 40 of 48 Locations: OsTown Mean Street Ventureland Last time in Epic Mickey, we saw the Shadow Blot –the REAL one–escape from the bottle of Thinner that Oswald and Ortensia banished him into. We finally see the extent of what the Shadow lot is capable of when he sends out Bloticles into every corner of Wasteland. OsTown is the nearest point from Mickeyjunk Mountain, so Mickey heads there first. What he sees is horrifying: All the Paint just vanishes from OsTown just from the Bloticles being there. Luckily, the Toons are safe, so I guess it only affects stuff anchored to the ground. Not so luckily, the Toons will be erased too if the Bloticles stick around for too long. OsTown is not supposed to look like this! We’ve got to save it! There are three Bloticles around OsTown. Two are on opposite sides of the Thinner pool Donald’s boat is in, and the third is in Clarabelle’s garden. (That garden is always getting abused, isn’t it?) To get rid of the Bloticles, look for the largest green spot on it and spray it with Paint or Thinner to pop it; they both have the same effect. That will cause another green spot to enlarge. Once all of the spots are popped, the Bloticle is destroyed, and Gus gives Mickey a health upgrade, bringing Mickey’s maximum HP to 10. The Bloticles do no damage themselves, and indeed, Mickey can go right up to them without taking damage either. It’s the Blotlings that accompany them that give Mickey trouble, as these guys are exceedingly aggressive …
